CLASSROOM PET PROGRAM

Fostering Compassion Through Education

Hannah the Pet Society is dedicated to enriching the classroom environment in our local schools by introducing socialized bunnies and guinea pigs to schools, fostering a deeper connection between students and the natural world. Introducing a Classroom Pet has proven to be an invaluable tool for teachers, contributing significantly to a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

Our Classroom Pet Program presents a wonderful opportunity for local schools to enhance the learning experience of students in a unique and engaging way.

Educational Enhancement: The program offers a range of materials and curriculum designed to incorporate the Pet into various educational activities, thereby enriching learning in areas such as science, responsibility, and empathy.

Full Support and No Financial Burden: Our organization will cover all expenses related to the Pet's medical care, habitat, and dietary needs, ensuring no financial strain on schools or teachers.

Welfare and Support: The well-being of the Pets is our top priority. We provide regular check-ins and professional support to maintain the highest welfare standards.

Veteran Program

Honoring Those Who've Served - Our Veterans Program Supports Heroes at Home

Hannah the Pet Society is honored to offer our Veteran Program, a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of disabled veterans and families of active-duty service members. Our mission is to provide a steadfast support system for Pet Parents, removing financial barriers and ensuring the unwavering companionship of a Pet can be a source of joy and comfort, particularly during challenging times.

We are here to help our veterans and their Pet. We firmly believe in the healing power of Pets, and our program is designed to provide lifelong support for Pets of veterans. Through our partnership with Hannah Pet Hospital, the Pets of veterans accepted onto our program will receive comprehensive medical care, covering routine check-ups, emergency services, preventative care, parasite control, dental care, vaccinations, and any necessary surgeries.

We want to thank our heroes for their service, and we do that by providing these services at no cost to qualified veterans.

HELPING HAND OF THE WEEK

At the heart of our effort to combat Pet homelessness, Hannah the Pet Society proudly facilitates the Helping Hand of the Week program. This initiative stands as an ally to local rescue groups and animal shelters who strive tirelessly towards this noble cause but may lack veterinary resources.

Each week, we extend a lifeline to a deserving rescue or shelter Pet facing urgent medical needs that hinder their chances of adoption or threaten their lives. Chosen through application, the recipient Pet receives essential medical care at a Hannah Pet Hospital. This support is graciously funded by Hannah the Pet Society or provided at a significantly reduced rate, underscoring our dedication to not just Pet health, but to enhancing the adoption potential of these loving dogs and cats.

Since its inception in late 2016, our Helping Hand of the Week program has proudly assisted over 100 Pets within the Portland area, reinforcing our commitment to giving back to the rescue and shelter community that works so valiantly to safeguard the welfare of these Pets.
